Terms of Service

The plain terms of buying a $9 radon dossier: what it is, what it isn't, the refund policy, and the limits of what an informational report can promise.

Effective July 9, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of RadonZoneReport at radonzonereport.com and your purchase of the county-level EPA radon zone report we provide. By using this site or buying a report, you agree to these Terms.

1. What you are buying

RadonZoneReport sells a one-time informational PDF report for $9. The report compiles your county's EPA Map of Radon Zones classification, the relevant state or county screening average, the EPA action level, and mitigation cost bands, for the parameters you supply.

2. The report is an informational estimate, not professional advice

The report is provided for general informational purposes only. It is a population-level estimate for the county you specify, not a measurement of your home, and it is not, and must not be relied on as, professional, legal, financial, tax, medical, engineering, real-estate, or safety advice. It does not create any professional-client relationship. It is not a substitute for an in-home radon test, a licensed home inspection, or advice from a qualified professional. Only an in-home test can tell you your own home's radon level. You are solely responsible for any decision you make, and you should test your home and consult an appropriately qualified professional before acting on anything in the report.

3. No warranty

The report and this site are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We draw on public federal and state data sources (including the 1993 EPA Map of Radon Zones) that may contain errors, gaps, or out-of-date figures, and we do not warrant that the report is accurate, complete, current, or fit for any particular purpose.

4. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, RadonZoneReport, its operators, and its suppliers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the site or the report. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total aggregate liability for any claim arising out of or related to the report or these Terms will not exceed the amount you paid for the report ($9).

5. Refunds

Because the report is a digital product delivered immediately, refunds are provided for delivery failure, for example, if you paid but did not receive your report, or the report could not be generated for the county you specified. If your report failed to arrive or cannot be produced, email [email protected] and we will re-deliver it or refund your purchase. If you believe a specific figure in your report is wrong, contact us, we will investigate and, where a delivery or generation fault is on our side, make it right.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: resell, republish, or redistribute the report as your own product; scrape, bulk-download, or systematically extract content from the site; attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the site or its infrastructure; or use the site or report for any unlawful purpose. The report is licensed to you for your own personal or internal use.

7. Intellectual property

The site, its design, its text, and the report format are owned by RadonZoneReport and protected by intellectual-property laws. Underlying public data referenced in the report (EPA, AARST, and state radon program publications) belongs to its respective sources. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the report you purchase for your own purposes.

8. Third-party services

Payments are processed by Stripe under Stripe's terms. Analytics are provided by Fathom Analytics. We are not responsible for the practices of third-party services, though we choose them with your privacy in mind (see our Privacy Policy).

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and, to the extent applicable, the state in which the operator of RadonZoneReport is established, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. You agree that any dispute will be brought in the courts located there.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date above. Your continued use of the site after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
